Once you are determine to get rid of the clutter then you can do it in just one day. By the time you are done, the perfect relaxation space will be there for you.
It is best to take notes when you start to de-clutter the bedroom. Which part of the room is most cluttered? What are the most important things that you should keep? What things are cluttering the room and that you don’t really need? Are there piles of books and magazines near your bed?
For books and magazines, you can place them in a magazine rack or shelves. If your dirty clothes are cluttered, you can buy those double hampers to segregate the white ones from the colored clothes. For clean laundry, you can place them in a flat basket prior to placement inside drawers or cabinets.
Part of decluttering the room is the cleaning or vacuuming of areas that are not usually included in daily cleaning. One of the hard-to-reach areas is under the bed. Inspect the space under the bed if there are things or clothes that have been pushed inside. This area can also be a storage space. With wheeled bins, clothes or beddings can be stored under the bed.
Once you already know what storage container is needed as well what is to be placed in them, the next thing to do is create the organized space. Determine which books or magazines that you no longer need and take these off the shelves. Replace them with the ones that you want to retain.
Take away those underwear, socks, bathing suits, undershirts, handkerchiefs, etc. that you do not want to use anymore from drawers. Then separate each kind and neatly fold those that you want to use. Neatly folded personal items are nice to look at and also it is easy to find your favorites.
For seasonal clothes or beddings, you can get vacuum bags and store them under the bed where it will be easy to get them out once the season changes. Do not store items that you will not use since it only eats up the space. Be sure to label or mark the very important items for easy location.
The bedroom should be a place of comfort. It should be the place in the home that exudes your personality. From the color scheme to the way things are placed should give an indication of what type of person the owner is. Having an organized and clean bedroom speaks highly of the owner. Declutter your bedroom and make it the one that you have always dreamt of.
