How to Declutter Your Bathroom

The bathroom is one of the most important places in your home but it is also the smallest area. You will soon notice that it is has become the most cluttered area. You can do this by using your common sense and following these practical and simple guidelines.

1. Look at the contents of your medicine cabinet. Throw away all expired medicines. Do away with empty or almost-empty containers of perfume, lotion and nail polish. Retain the products of your choice but give away the ones that you don’t like or found ineffective. The amount of space saved in your cabinet is worth much more than the amount of the products you are giving away.

2. Check the drawers one by one. Assess its content then keep only the articles you need and donate the rest. By emptying the drawers, you can easily find items you are looking for.

3. Keep bathroom counter clean and free from articles. Dispose of anything that has reached its date limit. Make-up should not be kept more than one year.

4. Your bathroom wall will make an ideal place for storage. You can build an extra shelf or utilized the area to hang your soap dish and toothbrush. You can place a towel holder to hang the towels.

5. Provide each family a basket or plastic container for their personal bath accessories. When not in use, place in the linen room or on bathroom shelf.

6. Place a caddy on the neck of shower head where soap, razor, shampoo, hair conditioner and other items are kept neatly.

7. Train each family member to place wet and soiled clothes in the hamper or to deposit in the laundry room.

8. You can clean and arrange your bathroom after every use. It will save time and effort.
